Minecraft Education Edition now Available On Chromebooks

Just in time for many students to virtually head back to school, Microsoft is bringing the education edition of its popular video game Minecraft to Chromebooks.



The Minecraft Education Edition for Chromebook is available Monday. It has the same features of the Windows and iPad versions, as well multiplayer across platforms, according to the company. The version geared towards education is designed to assist educators in teaching everything from science technology engineering and math (STEM) to history, language and art. The game has been approved by teachers from more than 115 countries according to Microsoft. Paxton's Blog



Microsoft announced that the most recent version of the game is now available for Chromebooks. It also comes with new STEM lessons and a "special Minecraft world" created with the American Beekeeping Federation's Kids and Bees Program.



Minecraft: Education Edition for Chromebook requires an Microsoft Account to log in. just another blog or something The game is licensed by schools through Microsoft 365 for Education. However, the company has stated that it is working to allow users to log in with an account on Google Account.
