Play Minecraft On The Oculus Rift Today

Minecraft has landed on the Oculus Rift as part of a free replace to the Windows 10 Version beta. Anyone who owns the Pc or Mac model of Minecraft is robotically granted access to the Windows 10 beta model; hit up Mojang to enroll and begin playing.

We tried out the Oculus Rift model of Minecraft back in March and found it to be completely delightful.

"It is probably the greatest and extra immersive VR experiences I've had so far," senior editor Nathan Ingraham wrote. "In actual fact, that lack of advantageous element truly helps Minecraft be so successful -- the sport doesn't try to imitate actuality. Instead, it felt extra like I stepped into a cartoon."

Minecraft is already playable on the Samsung Gear VR, though that's restricted to the options of the Pocket Edition. games The Oculus Rift version features help for the Xbox One controller plus keyboard and mouse, and players' VR-specific settings are saved individually from their traditional Minecraft world.

Mojang developer Tommaso Checchi tweeted on Thursday that the Oculus Rift model of Minecraft would land some time this week, though he didn't reveal an actual date. Completely satisfied Monday, everybody.
