Unlike normal video games, Minecraft allows you to be in control of the game, and it also has the ability to allow players to act as moderators and even build their own coding/modding directly into the game!

Start your first game in SinglePlayer mode.

1. Click the SinglePlayer button to see the entire world.

If you're just beginning your journey in Minecraft this list ought to be empty.

2. To create a new game click the Create New World button.

The Create New World page appears.

3. Type any name in the World Name text box and click on the Create New World button at the bottom of the screen.

Game cheats increase or decrease the difficulty of your game. They switch between Creative mode (or Adventure mode) when you enable them. Cheats let you have more control over the game's world especially when you're just starting.

Once you've finished creating your world, the game automatically begins by creating it and placing your avatar (character).

Selecting the appropriate game mode in Minecraft

Survival The players are randomly spawned in new worlds and have to survive by accumulating materials, constructing shelter, gaining experiences, and fighting off hostile mobs. Xsjwm Creative - a mode of play which allows players to have instant access to almost all blocks and items are invulnerable and immune to death, and have the ability to fly. This game mode allows you to create/design unique worlds. Adventure - players interact with objects (levers, buttons) and mobs to complete an adventure. Spectator is invisible to everything and cannot interact with entities, blocks or your inventory. This mode allows you to observe the worlds of other players. Hardcore Like survival mode, Hardcore is set to the "hard" difficulty level permanently and players cannot return to the game; after you die the map is erased (or you become permanently spectator).
