Each week, simply in the beginning of the weekend, we catch up with the WoW Insider employees and ask them, "What are you playing this week?" -- in any other case generally known as: WRUP. Join us to see what we're as much as in and out of recreation, and catch us within the feedback to let us know what you are enjoying, too!

Going to BlizzCon? No? Why not? It is the '90s! minecraft Everyone's going to conventions today!

Positive, it is in Southern California, and for lots of you, that is a great distance from dwelling. But man, that is the '90s. They've planes now. And some of those planes even have air phones. You possibly can hook up your 14.4k modem to one of those and connect to your favorite Warcraft 2 BBS, maybe play a little Legend of the Red Dragon from 20,000 feet. Why not? It's the '90s!

What's that? You say it's not the '90s -- it's 2011? Effectively, of course it's! I do know exactly what in the present day is. See this Casio digital watch on my wrist? It has the day, week, month, and 12 months on it. Everybody's acquired one -- everybody, that is, who's dwelling in the '90s.

BlizzCon, the hottest occasion of the '90s, is developing in a mere two weeks. So at this time, in addition to the same old query of "What are you playing?" (Super Nintendo and Scattergories, obvi), I had our prime-notch writers (lots of whom have Tripod pages) reply a bonus question: "What terrific recommendation do you may have for the go-go BlizzCon attending of us of the '90s?"

Anne Stickney (@Shadesogrey) This weekend might be spent ending my entry for the global Writing Contest -- in other words, writing like a madwoman.

As for BlizzCon -- be certain that you've gotten loads of water alongside, the convention corridor is larger than it seems to be! Present up for panels early, verify the events schedule and work out what you want to hit in advance. Additionally -- comfy sneakers. Critically, you may be in your toes just about all day lengthy. Comfy footwear are the best!

Allison Robert (@AllisonRobert) I'll be going to a different marriage ceremony this weekend but will in any other case be on the PTR getting notes for an upcoming Shifting on tanking and healing the three new 5-mans.

As for BlizzCon, I have yet to go, but if I had to guess from previous experiences with educational conferences and the like, have only one bit of recommendation: Do not wear heels.

Alex Ziebart (@AlexZiebart) (gplus.to/alexziebart) Been enjoying some Lifeless Island and hopefully will get a hefty quantity of co-op time in with a buddy of mine. Good coop games are far more uncommon than they should be.

For BlizzCon, take extra shirts than you think you'll need. For those who get super-sweaty, stop into your lodge room and change shirts. It's higher than being smelly and uncomfortable all day.

Chase Hasbrouck First WRUP /yay. Continuing my feral soloing in challenge in WoW (when Kuwaiti latency allows), else enjoying SpaceChem on Steam. All the enjoyable of programming without the code!

BlizzCon: never been, but expertise has taught me always to comply with the 3 W's when touring: water, weight, and strolling (comfortably).

Daniel Desmond (@hazmacewillraid) I'll be doing a little bit bit of PTR spelunking, making an attempt out the brand new dungeons and paladin changes, but mostly I'll be scratching a couple of more tallies into my wall with a plastic spoon, counting the times till Skyrim releases.

As for BlizzCon, this might be my first! As such, I will be sticking to my guildmates like black leather-based seats on a hot summer time day.

Daniel Whitcomb (@DanielWhitcomb) Since my mage and warrior are on hold till the 4.3 goes reside, I could see if I can solo me some more tier 5 for my warlock. I am additionally enjoying some Aquaria and Bastion (once more) on Steam, so I may do some extra with those video games.

My advice? Hygiene. Namely, double-, triple-, and quadruple-verify your journey bag. In case you miss something like a toothbrush or a shaving kit, chances are you will must pay an arm and a leg to change it.

Dawn Moore (@dawnwow) Not enjoying something this weekend, but I'll be watching plenty of StarCraft 2 and League of Legends at IPL3.

Recommendation for BlizzCon? Hmm ... Ready within the badge pick-up line is not crucial if you do not need to be the first one into opening ceremonies. Just choose up your badge while everyone is in line for the ceremonies and you will be in and out in 5 minutes.

Elizabeth Wachowski (@leeatwaterlives) I am nonetheless on my honeymoon in NYC, however once i get back I will most likely start AC: Brotherhood, since my AC2 disc is scratched and I do not think I can end.

Fox Van Allen (@foxvanallen) (gplus.to/foxvanallen) I have been in Philly for a stable a part of the week, and I will be staying in Philly throughout the weekend hanging with my good friend Chester. All types of enjoyable shall be had. Like at the moment, I ate Dutch food. We are a terribly boring people, we Dutch.

My BlizzCon advice: If you wish to cling out with Fox, I suggest you get your request in ahead of time, because there are a lot of you, very few nights in beautiful Southern California, and just one Fox. Additional, I advise anyone who will not be from an space with Jack in the Field restaurants to go eat at a Jack within the Box restaurant. Oh my god.

Joe Perez (@Lodurzj) Extra LoL, I have a new champion to study! Also more alt leveling in WoW and really trying ahead to another select my journey day Sunday; I will probably begin earlier (three p.m.) this week and go till 5. I am going to also be livestreaming the adventure, so make sure to watch Twitter for the link and time!

Biggest BlizzCon blunder: not sporting snug and supportive shoes. Seriously, you stand and walk a lot that you're a fool if you don't. Additionally, the amount of ache your toes will likely be in will be shocking. Also, drink / bring lots of water and attempt to eat exterior of the convention center. Tons of fine native places to nom issues at which might be a fast walk from the convention heart.

Josh Myers (@Elamqt) I'm liking my army of premade and primary-transferred shaman on the PTR. I even have a lone mage premade who was arrange with spec/glyphs/keybinds/and many others. and then promptly forgotten.

I have no BlizzCon advice, although I caution all Wow Insider meetup attendees to keep away from eye contact with Fox. That is simply frequent sense, though.

(Glorious level. That is how I choose my prey. -- Fox)

Kelly Aarons (@Cadistra) Hoping for some high quality time with my DS, however I'm undecided, as I will be working at my job, doing artwork, and it's Thanksgiving up here in Canada-land, so there's that. I will be heading out of city Sunday night time to see my household.

BlizzCon recommendation? Take the health-verify:

Deliver numerous water with you.

Put on comfy sneakers (with insoles if obligatory). Remember to stretch your lower again every hour or so!

Deliver some protein-rich snacks with you -- pure food bars, dry-roasted nuts (like almonds and cashews). Con meals is overpriced and stuffed with crap, and it will keep you fuller longer. minecraft /health nerd

Mat McCurley (@gomatgo) (gplus.to/gomatgo) I'm a broken record. League of Legends and WoW.

Suggestions for BlizzCon: bring a bottle of water if you possibly can, take issues sluggish, put on comfy footwear, and purchase Mat McCurley drinks at the WoW Insider Reader Meetup.

Matt Low (@matticus) In a change of tempo, enjoying on my Nintendo DS. Replaying some Final Fantasy VI! My faaaaaavourite Remaining Fantasy sequence -- ever!

Matt Rossi (@matthewrossi) (gplus.to/MatthewWRossi) My hand is completely screwed up now, so unhealthy I don't assume I can play much of anything. (I am typing this one-finger, hunt-and-peck fashion).

As for BlizzCon, I've never been.

Matt Walsh (@Rhidach) Some Sword of the Stars with some buddies, for (possible) last recreation earlier than the sequel comes out. We'll ship the outdated woman off in style. I am going to even be getting some severe Minecraft time in since my guild's server was down last week. Need to make up for misplaced time!

This will solely be my second BlizzCon, but the biggest factor I picked up last 12 months is to be actually early to anything you need to go to -- panels or no matter. Apart from badge pickup on Thursday evening. It's open for hours and badges aren't limited in the same way seats or space is. No need to indicate up early for that line; go later that night and coast right through to pickup.

Michael Grey (@writegray) I'll be taking pictures weddings by way of most of the wedding, which is directly thrilling and terrifying. I'm not the pro of the group, so I except to spend quite a lot of time going "Hurrr ..." The weekend is the proper time to kick back, chill out and get pleasure from some game time. Are you an achievement junkie? Can't get enough raiding? Rolling a brand new alt? Considering taking the leap into roleplaying? Whatever your favorite method to play World of Warcraft, let us know within the feedback what you're taking part in this weekend!
